Pre-COVID show @ Fairview Library

Toronto born, ian alter AOCA, is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art (now OCADU), and has been painting for many decades. His largest solo show was at the Carrier Gallery in Toronto,  filling its  multi-storey 23,000 square foot space with some 175 original oil paintings and sculptures. Typically his  past solo show s have had  40-60 pieces.

The Fairview Library Show was on a much smaller and relatable scale. Unlike all his previous shows –  This show conatains Three Hand signed Limited Edition Digital Giclee prints on canvas. These prints have an original feature, that combine  traditional with a digital aesthetic.  The dominant “QR-Code” can be read by a automatically using the camera feature on the latest generation on iPhones, or using free one of many “QR-Code” readers available from the App Store or Google Play.  The  smart Phone will then give the viewer the title, artist’s web site link, inventory number, and the unique number within the limited edition of 25 per design.
